"If you put your conditioned intellect to rest for a long time,
suddenly it will be like the bottom falling out of a bucket –
then you will naturally be happy and at peace."

This mind is like a fish out of water that thrashes
and throws itself about, its thoughts following
each of its cravings.
Such a wandering mind is weak and unsteady,
attracted here, there and everywhere. How good
it is to control it and know the happiness of freedom.

What I have told you is not profound or mysterious.
If you turn your attention inward and observe yourself,
the profound mystery is in you.

If we divide into two camps--even
into violent and the nonviolent--and stand in one camp
while attacking the other, the world will never have peace.
We will always blame and condemn those we feel are
responsible for wars and social injustice, without recognizing
the degree of violence within ourselves. We must work on
ourselves and also with those we condemn if we want to have
a real impact.

If you’d mold yourself
the way you teach others,
then, well-trained,
go ahead & tame –
for, as they say,
what’s hard to tame is you
yourself.

Who would have thought that all things are the manifestation of the Essence of Mind!

He who knows that all things are his mind,
That all with which he meets are friendly,
Is ever joyful.

All states that can be returned to external causes are obviously not you,
but that which cannot be returned to anywhere, if it is not you, what is it?
Therefore, you should know that your mind is fundamentally wonderful,
bright, and pure and that because of your involvement with the things
of the world you have covered it up and lost it. In this way you are
caught on the endless wheel of becoming this or that, sinking and floating
in that sea of endless becoming. Awaken yourself now to your own bright mind.

Flow with whatever may happen
and let your mind be free;
Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing.
This is the ultimate.
